Off the common room we’ve opened up two cells and transformed them into a nice little lounge. Here you can watch a movie, read a book on the couch or play a game with your friends.
The second floor of the cell block used to be the women’s wing. Now we’ve transformed it into a nice and cosy livingroom. In the morning we serve breakfast here and during the day it’s a nice place to meet fellow travellers, relax and have a drink at the bar.
If you want to escape the hustle&bustle of travelling for a bit or if you feel the need for a bit of privacy you can read a book on our cosy bookbench. Finished a book? No problem, just trade it for a book from our mini library.
While Leeuwarden has plenty of nice restaurants and bars to offer, as a budget conscious traveller you’d like to have other options. We have a separate kitchen for our guests equipped with everything you need to prepare yourself a simple meal.
We have separate facilities for women and men. You will find them on the first floor, in the center of the Cellblock. Our private 2 bed cells have an en suite shower & lavatory.
The best way to explore Leeuwarden and its surrounding countryside is by bike. For €5,- a day you can rent one of our bikes.
Throughout the entire Hostel we offer free Wi/Fi.
From 11 AM our conference room is available for external events. We can seat max 12 people; use of beamer, sound system and catering all available. Please contact us for more information & price: info@alibihostel.nl
For €9,50 per person you can use our breakfast buffet, consisting of:
Brown & white bread
Crackers, rice waffles & rusk
A boiled egg
Cheese, ham and salami
Jam and Nutella
Various sprinkles and homemade jam
Milk, yoghurt, orange juice and water
A piece of fruit
There is a toaster present to toast your bread. Various kinds of tea and coffee are included and are available at the bar.
If you have gluten- and/or lactose allergies, please let us know in advance so we can take those into account.
